My 3 Month Project
About 6 months ago, I decided that I really didn't like the color of our dining room table and chairs. I didn't think it could be too hard to paint, so three months later I began the tedious job of taping so that I didn't get paint on the "wood" part. Life got busy and I wasn't able to paint for, well, about three months. We had agreed to host Bible Study at our house, and I knew that a few of the people coming had already seen our chairs taped months prior, so I figured it was time to finish the project. The first coat went on well, and looked okay, until it dried. Matt walked in the door that evening and
said, "what pooped on our chairs?" Yeah, the color was bad. So I got another paint. This time the color was great, but it dried very quickly. I had to paint furiously to keep up.

I had to paint furiously to keep up.In this process we learned that Matt is not fond of painting. I think he would rather pull his toenails off than paint. So he helped me out by sanding most of the chairs and the table.
But when all was said and done, and the last coat had dried, it looked pretty good. We both love the color, and it matches our kitchen much better now. The table top still needs to be re-done, but that project is for another week.
