Tribute to Sarah Klein

I knew Sarah when she lived in Wainwright, AB for the short time while she finished her high school courses by correspondance. Yes, it was a short period of time, but we instantly connected. We became fast friends, and spent most of our spare time together, whether it was grabbing a cup of coffee, visiting the local Stampede, or pouring our hearts out to the Lord together.

Sarah always exemplified a woman of God. She had such passion for the Lord, and it was evident in all areas of her life. I remember when she had a membership at Curves and began to build a relationship with the owner, and then share the gospel with her. The owner never professed faith in the Lord, but Sarah never gave up on her. She also never gave up on me when I tried her patience on more than one occation. She would challenge me when I was struggling with something, and then we would pray together. She showed me exactly what a true friend is like and I will never forget it.

I have so many memories of my time with Sarah, memories that I will cherish forever. She left a mark on my life that can never be washed away. I only hope that I can learn from her life and become a woman of God and a friend like she was.

*Sarah Klein passed away of liver failure in Mexico on September 24, 2007 while pursuing alternative medicine.
